The Transmedia and Cobalt Coded teams have undertaken a diverse collection of purely technical projects over the years.

In partnership with Ingenuity Electronics Design we have completed projects such as a Rail and Truck signalling server for the Department of State Growth in Tasmania, an Android data transfer mobile App and an embedded Realtime Telemetry Unit for Mine Site Technologies, as well as the Android POPStation App for SingPost.

In partnership with WorXpace we have completed projects such as prototyping the SafeDome system for Mashinery, the proof of concept prototype of the Silent Fitness App for Silent Fitness, a Borehole Explorer prototype for Hart Geo and the Android version of the Hypervibe Control App for Hypervibe. We also formed a partnership to develop the Lone Alarm system.

Lone Alarm

A simple App based alarm service that offers your family, friends and colleagues the comfort of knowing the phones that each of you carry can automatically detect an emergency and broadcast an alarm. Your emergency contacts automatically receive your location data when they get your alarm and can open a map to pinpoint your position.

POPStation is the innovative App from SingPost to allow you to collect your parcels anywhere, anytime. AUUG

The AUUG Motion Synth transforms your iPhone or iPod touch into a new kind of musical instrument: An expressive controller that lets you play notes via touch and shape their sound through motion.

AUUG went on to be successfully funded via Kickstarter. See auug.com.

Development

We worked closely with WorXpace for Joshua Young to research how best to turn his vision of AUUG into a functioning App.

We then worked with Josh and his team to develop and implement the UI code as well as undertaking the initial research to establish preset functionality within the iOS environment.

Hypervibe

The App provides remote control of all of the machine’s functions, as well as casting the program’s exercise videos to your big screen via Chromecast. See hypervibe.com.

Development

In collaboration with WorXpace we researched and developed the Hypervibe App for Android to control the new series of Hypervibe vibration machines.

Silent Fitness

The Silent Fitness App is designed to allow instructors to conduct classes with LIVE voice and mp3 music play-back to clients outside the studio or gym location. Using your iPhone/iPod Touch with internet connection, you can combine LIVE instruction and guidance of a trainer mixed with your music helping you to achieve maximum results wherever you are!

Development

In collaboration with WorXpace we researched, developed and prototyped real-time internet broadcasting of audio to mobile devices for the trainer voice, developed the system for synchronized library music playback, and developed and deployed the initial version of the applications for iOS devices.
